white as snow.

i did another baptism dessert tablescape this past weekend.  since winter is near (along with christmas) the birthday girl's mom wanted a snowy theme.  i loved it.  everything looked so pure and clean!  the invitations had this scripture on them:

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."  Isaiah 1:18

hence the touches of red but definitely not too much:) I also added the silver and crystal to give it some shimmer.  the snow laid throughout also had shimmer.  it was really pretty just like the little girl who this was all for!

fairies and bugs.

This party was for my sweet niece who turned 5.  she's such a dainty little girl and she still loves bugs.  it's awesome.  her mom thought of a fairy/bug party to incorporate all the things she loves.  we kept the food simple since kids are picky and it actually turned out great and all the kids ate a ton which is even better.  we had so much fun planning this party together.

the tablescape.  i should have studied photography a bit before this party since the sun was shining through the backside so the lighting was all off.  but in person it looked amazing.  like it was glowing.  perfect for fairies!  it's also hard to tell via photos that the entire table was covered in glitter.  it was totally sparkly and perfect!

i told my husband that I needed him to make me some "fairy houses" for the party and here's what he came up with.  amazing.

candy corn party.

i decided to keep up the tradition of a fall party for my little ones this year.  last year i did a halloween themed party.  it was way fun.  i decided to switch things up a little and go with a candy corn theme.  as soon as candy corn hits the shelves i buy a bag.  then after the bag i'm spent for the rest of the season.  but you can be so creative with those three little colors that i just had to give the tablescape a try.  plus my little man loves having parties so it was a must.  it turned out great and was a blast to put together.

the tablescape:

 candy corn suckers:

dipped marshmallows....in candy corn colors of course:

rice crispie treats.  I thought sprinkles would be a little less monotonous than food coloring.  i love how they turned out:

cupcakes.  hard to tell in the photo but the cake was yellow and orange:

pudding cups:

pineapple, mandarin oranges and marshmallows:

had to have some of the real thing!

white chocolate popcorn:

i spray painted some old bottles to look like candy corn.  i'm obsessed with how they turned out.  i can see many more bottles being spray painted in the near future...

for lunch the kids had some "candy corn pizza":

the kids each popped a treat-filled balloon:

they also each did a little tissue paper candy corn craft.  this is one of the little friends.  so adorable:

all of the kids had a blast, especially mine.  i'm already looking forward to next year's fall party:)

football party.

my husband has an annual fantasy football draft at our home.  all of the guys order food and i usually make a dessert or two.  you know, so i look like a good wife and all.  anyways, i decided that this year it'd be fun to do a mini tablescape for them.  my husband seriously has the best friends (i always tell him i'm jealous of him that way).  they deserved some special treats so that's what i did.  this was sooo easy and would make a good super bowl party or even kids' football party.

who says you can't tastefully use crepe paper anymore??  such an easy and fun backdrop.

the field goal posts were easily made out of pvc and spray painted white.  i used boxes for the cupcakes and cake pops which added height to the table and mimicked stadium seating.

white and brown.

i was able to do a fabulous party for my sweet nephew's baptism day.  the idea was to keep everything clean and white with hints of brown for some masculinity.  this might be one of my favorites so far.  i absolutely love how it turned out.

the tablescape:

the all white desserts were my fave.  cake pops:

dipped rice crispies:

dipped marshmallows with my favorite sprinkles:

coconut cream cheese cake:

meringue cookies:

We also served a light dinner which consisted of salad, a potato bar, and garlic bread.  colorful and delish.

ginger ale and strawberries.  holy yum.

mason jars with epsom salt, white glitter, and candles:

i made the special boy a book of remembrance for everyone there to sign and share their thoughts:
